Classification of Folding Tables

A folding table, one type of folding furniture intended to facilitate storage and portability, is a table with legs which could fold up against the desktop. Owing to its being easily foldable and portable, folding table has become an indispensable furniture in our daily life, which is used widely in feasts, meetings and exhibitions etc.
Folding tables could be manufactured in various designs and configurations with different dimensions. They could be produced by wood, metal, plastic as well as other materials. Generally speaking, folding tables could be classified into four different types according to raw materials.
1. Wood Folding Table
Just as the name suggests, this type folding table is manufactured with wood, such as fir and padauk, which is frequently used as household furniture.
2. Panel Folding Table or Wood & Steel Folding Table
Made of high density artificial board (or engineered wood) and heavy duty steel pipes with baking finish, this folding table is thick and solid. And it’s so portmanteau that it could be applied as study desk and computer desk for both home and office.
3. Plaited Rattan Folding Table
Its framework is constructed with aluminium alloy while the desktop is plaited with plastic rattan. In spite of the plastic rattan, this folding table is still solid. What’s more, the surface of the folding table is smooth, which is incorrodible, anti-rust and easy for cleaning.
4. Plastic Folding Table
The folding table desktop is made from plastic, usually ABS engineering plastic, and the legs are made of aluminium alloy. Compared with folding tables produced by other materials, this folding table is much more portable due to its light weight. Therefore, it’s quite suitable for picnic and other outdoor activities.
Compared with other furniture, folding table is a good choice as home office furniture. It could be folded up when not in use, which is space-saving and convenient for storage. And thanks to its portability, it makes our life easier and better.
